Claude Can Click Through Your Browser Now (And You Should Let It)

Claude can now open websites, click buttons, and fill out forms without you touching your mouse. Read that again. Your AI assistant has hands now.

It's the Claude Chrome extension, and it's basically a browser agent living inside your Chrome. You give it a task, it opens the page, navigates around, clicks things, reads content, and brings the results back to Cowork. You watch it happen in real time, which is equal parts useful and unsettling (like watching a ghost use your computer, but the ghost is productive).

When You Actually Need This

Cowork's connectors handle the big apps. Gmail, Calendar, Slack, Notion. Direct integrations, fast and reliable. But the moment you need something from an app with no connector, you used to be stuck.

Not anymore. Can't connect to a platform directly? Claude in Chrome goes to the website and does it through the browser, the same way you would. It can pull posts from social platforms, grab data from dashboards, fill out forms, even book things.
