The Test That Decides It

The real question is not whether the plan is good. It is whether you push the kind of workload that needs the headroom. Most people do not, and they end up paying for capacity they will never touch.

If you chat with AI a few times a day, brainstorm, draft emails, or rewrite copy, stay on the cheap plan. You will hit your limits maybe once a week, and the savings are real.

When the Big Plan Pays for Itself

The big plan earns its keep when you run real batch work. If you are dumping 50 PDFs at a time, kicking off multi-hour jobs, or running automations on a weekly cadence, the math flips fast. The time you save in a single afternoon covers the month.

That is the dividing line. Heavy weekly batches, the big plan pays for itself. Casual daily chatting, it does not.

Know What You Actually Use

Before you upgrade, look at your last two weeks. Count the heavy jobs, not the quick prompts. If you cannot point to a real batch workflow, the upgrade is hype, not value.
