I Broke Up With ChatGPT After 2 Years

Two years. Every single day. Top plan. I was the textbook loyal ChatGPT user, and I'm not here to trash it. I'm here to explain why my daily work moved to Claude anyway.
This is a breakup, not a smear campaign.
Where Claude won me over
For writing, research, and strategy, Claude just fit my actual work better. The output needed less wrangling. The tone held steadier across a session. And when I'm doing real execution instead of demos, that consistency is the whole game. The difference shows up over hours of use, not in a one-line test.
I didn't switch on a whim. I switched because the daily friction was lower, day after day.
The right tool isn't the one that wins a single prompt. It's the one that's still right on the hundredth.
Where ChatGPT is still better
This isn't a clean sweep, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. ChatGPT still has edges in places, and if you've built your whole workflow around it, you have real reasons to stay. The right answer genuinely depends on what you do all day.
So don't take my breakup as your instruction. Take it as a nudge to actually compare them on your real work, not on vibes. (The crime isn't using either tool. The crime is never testing the alternative because switching felt like effort.)
Run your hardest weekly task through both for one week. Then pick based on what you saw, not what an influencer told you.
