Same Question, Two Outputs

Same Question, Two Outputs

Want proof that you've been leaving quality on the table? Run a little experiment.

Ask ChatGPT the same question twice. First time, just ask. Second time, flip one setting before you hit enter. The gap between those two answers will tell you everything.

What you're really testing

One answer comes back as surface-level filler, the kind of thing that sounds fine until you try to use it. The other comes back with actual structure, reasoning you can follow and act on.

Same model. Same question. The only variable was the control you flipped. (Which means the filler was never the model's fault. It was the setting's.)

The model was always capable of more. You just never asked it to show up.

Once you see the difference with your own eyes, you stop trusting default mode for anything that matters. Run the test. Then never go back.
