Stop The ChatGPT Sidebar Graveyard

Stop The ChatGPT Sidebar Graveyard

Open your ChatGPT sidebar. Go on. It's a graveyard, isn't it? Forty chats titled "New chat," "Untitled," and "asdf," none of which you'll ever find again. (We've all got one. Mine could qualify for historic preservation.)

The cause is simple: you start a fresh chat for every little thing. The fix is simpler.

Group by workstream, not by question

Use Projects. Each Project is a container for one workstream, and every chat inside it shares the same clean context. Client work in one, your side hustle in another, personal stuff in a third.

Instead of forty homeless conversations, you get a handful of organized rooms, each one already knowing what it's about. (Your future self, trying to find that one thread from Tuesday, will weep with gratitude.)

A new chat for everything isn't organization. It's a landfill with a search bar.

Make a few Projects, drag your life into them, and let the sidebar stop being a crime scene. Go clean house.
